Well, I just returned from Memphis, I went up there to go out with Nicole, it was her birthday, and she felt down. So to cheer her up, and to have a good time, I went over to Memphis. I left my home as Allison, we went to Jillian's downtown for dinner, a mainstream fun place to play games, or bowl, and eat, there was some sort of festival going on down there, and we were in the midst of it all.
Then we went to TJ Mulligan's, a mainstream bar, and she knew the band. I later learned that as we were coming in, there was a couple that she overheard talking and said "oh no, we don't need them coming in here!" Nicole started a conversation with the couple seated next to her, and they were open minded enough to be friendly, and we had fun visiting with them. Then, some of the girls that Nicole knew from the band showed up, and Nicole introduced me to them. I talked with one, who is the director of the Germantown Performing Arts Center, and that was rather difficult, as we were seated 1 table away from the band's speakers, but it was very enjoyable, nonetheless. It was so much fun to hear rock and roll live music again, I used to love it.
While we were there, several of the girl patrons came over and eventually talked us into dancing with them, and I'm so glad they did. I was itching to get out and try to shake my booty. After we did one dance, some guy sent both of us a drink. We danced another couple of dances, and Nicole was trying to listen to what her partner was saying, and leaned closer to her to try and hear what she was saying, and the guy she was with came over to Nicole, and started getting belligerent, I guess he thought Nicole was making a move on his girl for the night. At that point, the guy’s great big friend came over and grabbed him, and told him to calm down, and pulled the weirdo away.
Then we left, imagine that. But it was fun while it lasted, nevertheless. Then we came back to the hotel and visited until my eyes fell out, and Nicole went home, 3 hours later, I awoke, and Allison loaded the car and drove home. Great fun.
